America's Army 3.0 is out now! The wait is over!A new engine, new missions, new trainings and many other cool stuff is waiting for you! Players can download the teen-rated game from Steam, as well as from partners listed at the America's Army website. The America's Army 3 game offers a number of new features including: New Engine - Built on Unreal Engine 3, AA3 delivers stunningly realistic environments, lighting effects, animations, and team-based experiences so that America's Army players can experience how Soldiers train, live, and advance in the Army. New Scoring System - In this new Army values-based scoring system, a player's "Honor" score is a combination of his/her scores from subcategories that represent the seven core Army Values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless-Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. The values are matched with certain game behaviors, and demonstrating these values contributes to successful gameplay and accomplishments. [...] Detailed Statistics - AA3's extremely detailed statistics give players immediate feedback at the end of rounds and matches in online play, in addition to summarizing player behaviors. Players can accrue a number of stats including marksmanship accuracy; time played; time played by class role; total score; rounds won, lost, and survived; objectives captured, and teammates treated as a combat lifesaver. [...] Character Movements - In addition to basic movements such as running, sprinting, and crouching, the game supports tactical and combat movement types. [...] Mission Planning - Squad and Fire Team leaders now have strategic choices to make before a mission. Authenticity of Weapons and Weapons Effects - Players can customize their weapon configuration and load (gear) with attachable modifications as well as select the type and number of ammunition cartridges and grenades they'll need to accomplish their mission. [...] Lighting and Sound - The development team paid great attention to the realism of the lighting and sounds within the America's Army 3 game to make them part of tactical gameplay. [...] |

As of late, a lot of new material on AA 3.0 has been appearing on the internet. In the article I found today on gamespot.com, I found the actual first pictures of how bridge will look like in 3.0. As being an original bridge clan I thought you guys would be interested in this.SAN FRANCISCO--The 2009 Game Developers Conference event is underway in sunny, windy, on-the-verge-of-rainy San Francisco, and even though the focus of the event is all the exciting panels and discussions, there are also plenty of new games on display, like America's Army 3, the Unreal engine-powered refresh of the US Army's free-to-play first-person shooter/recruiting tool. We had an opportunity to take a look at the re-envisioned game's new features and dive into an instant-action mission, and although we didn't walk away with a strangely unexplainable desire to go enlist, we do have an easily-explainable desire to talk about some of the new stuff that AA3 will have to play with. |

AA 3.0 - [Dev]Pye AnswersAuthor: minor Date: 01.20.2009 While we are playing a lot of leagues made for AA we are still waiting for new informations regarding America's Army 3.0. The AAPortal http://www.aao30.com interviewed [Dev]Pye - AA 3.0 development team member. There is breaking news that you haven't heard, so don't hesitate to take a look at the interview. Also check http://www.aa3.americasarmy.com/, the new website for 3.0. AAO30.com - Will AA3 have the 2 parts much like the original version of AA –both the FPS and the Career mode? [Dev]Pye - The persistent character element of AA2 is going to play a more prominent role in AA3. As for the character building process we’ve created an unlock and advancement system that will allow you to invest promotion points, which are earned alongside and as a result of your other scores, to further your career choices and will give you new gear at each step. Initially these advancements are all going to be 11B Infantry roles, the ones that are analogous to the current fire team roles such as Rifleman, Advanced Rifleman, Grenadier and SDM (Squad Designated Marksman - not technically a sniper — that comes later). We will be able to go into much more detail on this in the coming months. AAO30.com - Will the new game be faster paced like CoD4 and the Battlefield or maintain the slower paced true tactical feel of the game that many of AA’s original fans enjoy? [Dev]Pye - We do not try to compete with CoD4 or the Battlefield series. The style of those games is not consistent with the Army’s messaging. So, we will continue down the path we have in the past in developing a thinking man’s tactical shooter. That being said, the game will have mass market appeal, so we’ve been working with a consistent design philosophy: easily accessible gameplay, but with a layer of depth that suits the advanced player. more... |

Ok guys for those of you who havent been paying that much attention to the scene lately, AA3.0 is in the end stage of its developement however only little material has been released up till now. Today however some new images have leaked through some of the beta'shttp://AAO30.com posted Well, no positive way to confirm this leak other than to say it’s from someone that I believe was/is a beta. So apparently he is resigning his beta tag this evening (or it’s a conspiracy by the dev’s) in order to bring us these great first views of Pipeline for 3.0!!! It’s easy to see that this is a vastly upgraded version of pipeline. It has a much “dirtier” and industrial look to it that better suits that type of environment. The lighting as expected is much improved, with light flooding the main pump room floor from the skylights, and bathroom is not looking so sanitary. I will update this post if official word comes out over these. **update, about 5 minutes after I posted the video, it was removed from youtube. **found it again on myspace **additional youtube link HERE **http://www.bluecarp.net/play.php?vid=129 TO SEE THE IMAGES CLICK HERE |
